We are proud to announce that Waterloo Manor shortlisted for 5 National Service User Awards. The winners will be announced at the awards ceremony on Wednesday 1st May 2019 in a black tie gala event at the Colwick Hall, Nottingham.

Raising Mental Health Awareness

Another Day in Paradise

A play made to show a day in the life of a patient detained in a mental health hospital, using personal experience and humour to help fight against the stigma of mental health.

Road to Recovery Waterloo Manor

The ‘road to recovery’ is a mural painted on the hospital corridor wall to depict barriers to recovery, reasons to recover and future ambitions. Individual art pieces are brought together to represent the journey through hospital to community on a large scale road scene.

Waterloo Pride 2019

This is Waterloo Manor’s third Pride event and we wanted to create a colourful and welcoming environment; A safe place where everyone is welcome to sit and be free to talk, and a place that shows our Pride to celebrate the LGBTQ+ community.

‘The idiots guide to DBT’ is a service user led project that captures the key skills of DBT in a fun and interesting way with cool graphics and top tips that can build understanding of the therapy for those not in the know!

The Recovery College always has a running group that is around collaborative artwork and has celebrated many different mediums. We opted to create an art gallery in a meeting room to showcase these unique pieces and as well as around our grounds.
