Community Rehabilitation Services
Inmind Community Support Services Hub
At Inmind Healthcare, our dedication to improving the lives of individuals with a range of health and social care needs underpins everything we do. Inmind Community Support Services is integral to this commitment, placing individuals at the heart of all decision-making and ensuring that their voices guide the support we provide. Our service is designed for men and women aged 18 and over who live in the community, requiring varying levels of care, guidance, and encouragement to maintain and enhance their well-being. We believe that every person, regardless of ability or circumstance, deserves access to the resources and opportunities necessary to lead a fulfilling and dignified life within their community.
We offer bespoke packages of care that reflect each person’s unique needs, circumstances, and aspirations. From those with complex medical concerns to people managing mental health challenges, our aim is to deliver care that is thoroughly individualised and respectful of personal choice. Our support is designed not merely to address immediate health or social care needs, but to assist people in developing new skills, improving social connections, and achieving greater independence in their daily lives. By working closely with our full disciplinary team and partner agencies, we ensure a joined-up approach that emphasises each individual’s well-being, autonomy, and personal growth.
At Inmind Community Support Services, we fully recognise the importance of family and loved ones in promoting well-rounded support. We actively encourage open communication and collaboration with family members, friends, and carers, enabling them to participate meaningfully in decisions relating to care and support. By bringing all relevant voices to the table, we strive to create a unified, consistent environment where the person receiving care is genuinely at the centre of everything we do. In addition, we place great importance on providing relevant training and guidance to our staff, ensuring that our Support Workers understand each individual’s specific needs before commencing care. When necessary, we seek input from other professionals or specialists, drawing on a wide network of expertise to provide the highest possible standard of care.
We are proud that all our staff have signed a pledge to become Dignity Champions under the National Dignity Council. This pledge reaffirms our promise to treat each service user with the utmost respect, care, and consideration for their rights and personal preferences. No matter the circumstances or the challenges faced, dignity remains paramount. By upholding these principles, we create a culture of compassion, empathy, and excellence that permeates every aspect of our work.

Supported Living
Supported Living is a cornerstone of Inmind Community Support Services, offering flexible assistance for individuals with mental health diagnoses, physical disabilities, learning disabilities, or complex medical conditions. We work closely with local authorities, registered landlords, and other providers to identify safe, comfortable housing that meets an individual’s preferences and practical requirements. Some of these housing options are our own bespoke properties, designed with specific accessibility or convenience features in mind.
Within a supported living arrangement, our service users benefit from having as much or as little support as they need to live independently. Staff might visit daily to assist with personal care, medication administration, meal preparation, or housekeeping. Alternatively, we might arrange more intensive support, for instance if someone has recently been discharged from hospital, is under Ministry of Justice Community Treatment orders, or requires overnight assistance. Our aim is to enable people to remain active, confident, and connected to their local communities while receiving the right balance of help.
Supported Living goes beyond the practical tasks of daily life, focusing equally on social engagement and emotional well-being. Our staff strive to build trusting relationships, encouraging individuals to express their wishes and offering companionship and guidance as needed. Many individuals in Supported Living find renewed purpose by participating in local clubs, events, or educational programmes, forging friendships and expanding their personal horizons. Inmind Community Support Services is dedicated to nurturing this sense of belonging and helping individuals maintain a healthy, productive lifestyle.
Domiciliary Care
Domiciliary care is at the heart of supporting individuals who wish to receive care in their own homes. This option recognises that most people prefer the familiarity and comfort of their personal surroundings, rather than moving into a residential care home. At Inmind Community Support Services, we draw on many years of experience in delivering safe, compassionate domiciliary care across the country. This service is suitable for people with long-term conditions or those needing short-term help to recover from illness or injury.
Regardless of an individual’s condition, we believe in preserving the freedom to remain in one’s own home for as long as possible. We develop personalised care plans that take into account an individual’s preferences for daily routines, personal space, and community connections. By focusing on each person’s strengths and capabilities, we encourage them to stay engaged in hobbies, family life, and social activities. A sense of belonging and routine is essential for maintaining emotional well-being, which is why our carers approach their tasks with empathy and respect.
Whether providing support with bathing, dressing, meal planning, or companionship, our focus remains on enabling independence. We offer a range of services under domiciliary care, including medication prompts, respite for informal carers, assistance with rehabilitation, and help managing complex medical conditions. Our carers receive comprehensive training to ensure they uphold the highest standards of safeguarding, health and safety, and professional boundaries. In doing so, we promote a nurturing environment where individuals can flourish while feeling secure in their own homes.
Nursing Homes
Although Inmind Community Support Services focuses predominantly on enabling individuals to live as independently as possible within their own homes or supported living settings, we recognise that some people may benefit from the more specialist medical oversight provided by nursing homes.
For those with complex clinical needs, around-the-clock nursing care can be crucial in managing symptoms, promoting comfort, and ensuring safety. We work closely with Local Authorities, Clinical Commissioning Groups, and families to identify when a nursing home might be the most suitable option, prioritising the individual’s well-being and dignity at every stage. This collaborative approach ensures that any transition into a nursing home is carefully managed, with the person’s preferences and aspirations taken into account, thereby creating a supportive environment where higher-level health needs can be met without compromising personal choice or individuality.
Purley View and Beech Manor Nursing Homes offer high-quality care in a comfortable, supportive environment for individuals with varied healthcare needs. These nursing homes provide a range of services tailored to promote the well-being and dignity of residents, including expert nursing care, personalised support plans, and a focus on creating a homely atmosphere. While our services at Inmind Community Support Services strive to support individuals in independent living, we recognise that for some, facilities such as Purley View and Beech Manor may be well-suited to address specific medical needs, offering constant care and supervision when required. We work collaboratively with nursing homes to ensure that anyone transitioning into care receives the utmost respect and attention to their personal preferences and requirements. for 13 seconds

Both homes feature compassionate, highly skilled staff who work alongside multidisciplinary teams to ensure personalised care, comfort, and dignity for each resident. Their homely environments foster social connections and promote independence wherever possible, reflecting our commitment to honouring every individual’s unique needs and preferences.

Benefits to Commissioners and Service Users
For individuals and their families, the opportunity to receive care at home or within a supportive community environment can be life-changing. It reduces the sense of upheaval that often accompanies lengthy hospital stays, providing a comfortable setting where loved ones can maintain their routines and relationships. This setting also ensures that people retain control over their daily lives, making decisions about meal times, social activities, and visitors in accordance with their wishes. Such autonomy can significantly enhance mental well-being, helping people feel valued and respected for who they are.
Another key benefit is the capacity for individuals to utilise personal budgets more flexibly, tailoring their care around personal lifestyle choices. In turn, this fosters a sense of ownership over one’s support plan. We have witnessed countless examples of people blossoming once they are in a setting where they feel fully supported, autonomous, and involved in their care. By valuing dignity and privacy, Inmind Community Support Services creates an environment where individuals are encouraged to thrive.

Our Commitment to Dignity and Respect
From the outset, Inmind Community Support Services has prioritised dignity and respect. These values are embedded not only in our organisational policies but in the day-to-day practice of every member of staff. Our pledge to the National Dignity Council is a public affirmation that we will uphold the principles of person-centred care, privacy, informed choice, and compassion at all times.
We firmly believe that treating people with respect involves active listening and empathy. This includes acknowledging fears or anxieties a person may have, celebrating achievements or small steps forward, and ensuring that the service user feels heard and understood. Our support is never about simply ‘doing for’ someone; rather, we stand beside people, offering guidance and encouragement so they can grow and learn at their own pace. By fostering an atmosphere of trust, we help build the confidence service users need to fully engage in their communities.
In the rare instances when individuals feel their dignity or privacy has not been upheld, we encourage open conversations to resolve any issues. We take these matters seriously, as they guide us in continuously improving our services and maintaining the highest standards of care. All staff undergo regular professional development sessions, reinforcing our core values and reminding them of our collective responsibility to protect the rights and welfare of those we serve.
Quality and Compliance
Inmind Community Support Services is proud to be regulated by the Care Quality Commission (CQC), an independent regulator of health and social care in England. We consistently strive to meet and exceed the stringent standards set by the CQC, integrating their guidelines into our policies and operational procedures to ensure a safe, effective, and caring service.
We are delighted to share that our CQC overall rating is Good, awarded on 9 May 2024. This rating stands as evidence of the dedication, competence, and compassion of our entire team, from frontline Support Workers to management. While we celebrate this achievement, we remain vigilant and proactive about continuous improvement. Regular internal audits, staff training programmes, and service user feedback mechanisms allow us to refine our services, ensuring that we maintain best practice across all areas of our work.
